Track League

As well as these introductory sessions LSCC is giving it’s support to riders who want to take their track cycling to the next step by riding in the exhilarating, fast-paced weekly MRTL track league at Manchester Velodrome against some of the best track riders in the region. There are two race nights each week:

Premier Division – Tuesday 7-10pm for E/1/2/3 category riders, £10 EOL

First Division – Friday 7-10pm for 2/3/4 category riders, £8 EOL

Riders may only compete in one these leagues and each require a registration fee of £15 to enter the series, see Michael Thelwell for more details.

It is the hope of LSCC that by giving a taste of track racing to as many of its members as possible that we can create a large enough pool of talent, from which to select riders that can go on to represent the University at the BUCS Track Cycling Championships (location tbc) against the best student track riders in the country.

If anyone is interested let me know, The club is keen to get a group of us down there even if it is just on one occasion. Track Leagues are great if you want to give track racing a go for the 1st time.
