Everyone can benefit from even a small amount of structured training, from those looking to just enjoy their time out riding by going a bit longer or those who have just got into racing and are looking to improve there performance. The aim of this page is to offer some guidance on where to look for information, who you can talk to within the club about training and also to offer some simple plans and ideas to work from.
First of all there are a number of members of the club who follow very detailed and structured training plans throughout the year who can offer guidance on what to do and also where they went wrong. I would suggest that if you are interested in training in a more structured way then please contact the XC Captain – Phillip Davies either when out on a ride or via e-mail (see committee section for contact details) who can either offer advice or find someone who is better place to answer your question. We are here to help so plesae take advantage of the knowledge within the club.

Training Plans
The following plans incorporate the normal club rides into them with advice on how to aim to ride these to get a higher benefit than if you were just riding around without any purpose. The plans are very simple and are based on targets such as races the club are entering throughout the year and are just a taster for specific training. If you wish to carry out a more detailed plan with numerous goals throughout the year then please get in touch with the XC Captain (Phillip Davies) via e-mail and the same if you have any general questions.
